Ann Carlton Keller

W&L has a tradition referred to as the Speaking Tradition. It’s actually pretty simple. According to tradition, students are expected to look up and say “hi” to other students and faculty as they walk about campus. When asked what made her freshman year at W&L so good, Ann Carlton said that it was because everyone was so friendly and seemed to genuinely want to form connections with each other. We hope the next 3 years are just as wonderful for Ann Carlton.
